Why European Buying Advice Has to Be Different

Availability, voltage, garden size and climate all change the answer — which is why imported recommendations so often disappoint.

Most English-language product advice is written elsewhere and read here. The result is familiar: a recommended model you cannot buy, a plug that does not fit, or a machine sized for a lawn twice as large as yours.

Availability comes first

A product is only a recommendation if you can buy it, get it serviced, and return it under European consumer law. That alone removes a large share of internationally recommended models.

Then the physical realities

230 V at 50 Hz, Schuko and Type E sockets, 800 W balcony feed-in limits, gardens measured in hundreds rather than thousands of square metres, Atlantic damp and central European frost. Every one of these changes which product is actually best.
