Best Robotic Pool Cleaners

Cordless cleaners have replaced pressure-side units for most private European pools. These are the models that clean properly and are easy to live with.

The value of a pool robot is measured in how rarely you think about it. A good one climbs the walls, scrubs the waterline, parks somewhere you can reach it, and does not need its filter emptied twice a cycle.

What actually matters

Battery runtime and filter volume matter more than suction claims. A robot that finishes a cycle but has a clogged basket halfway through is not cleaning your pool.

  • Match runtime to pool size, then add a margin for leaf season
  • Check how the robot parks — retrieving a dead robot from 2 m down gets old quickly
  • Prefer top-loading filter baskets you can rinse with a hose
